A 22-year-old man in Lincoln, Nebraska has been arrested for allegedly breaking into a 63-year-old woman's home. Local authorities responded to an alarm at approximately 2:00 a.m., when apparently the suspect, Clint Neumann, triggered a motion sensor inside the woman's home. According to Officer Katie Flood, the intruder broke a basement window with a crowbar, and left a pair of white and blue Nike sneakers. When authorities arrived on the scene, the perpetrator had fled.
According to Flood, police pulled-over a silver Buick Riviera at approximately 2:38 a.m. - the passenger, Neumann, was not wearing shoes. The suspect had credit cards, rosary beads, and a social security card in his possession, all belonging to the victim in question. Neumann was thrown in jail for suspicion of burglary and possession of burglar's tools. According to Officer Flood, Neumann and the victim are acquaintances. Thanks to the woman's home security system, the proper authorities were quickly notified of the potential danger.
